We spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon on the Marnixstraat side of Eat at Jo’s in the Melkweg with the doors wide open before our broadcast table and a plethora of guests, starting with the Amsterdam-based poet Ted Jackson, legendary Dutch rock singer Michel Van Dyke from the band called Alquin, Larry Jay Tish from the Cambridge film crew making a movie in Amsterdam called Question Freedom, and a visionary little dude called Kevin from Sweden, plus music from John Boutte, Snooks Eaglin, Eddie Bo, three poems by Ted Jackson, “Revolution’s Eve” by Alquin, John Sinclair & His Blues Scholars, Kermit Ruffins, and Professor Longhair.
