Episode 439 is coming from the venerable Amsterdam collective dwelling called De Slang, or the Snake House, after the colorful snake-centered mural painted on the building on the Spuistraat, where Steve the Fly and I are visiting on this beautiful Saturday night in Amsterdam and talking with several veteran members of the collective around the dining table laden with tea, wine, joints and general merriment. The closing text segment recorded at De Slang was lost in the ozone somewhere and I recorded this one at the 420 Café on Sunday evening.

My own performance was backed by a trio of fine young Seattle musicians whom I know only as Nils (bass), Garrett (drums), and David (keys).
