The Radio Free Amsterdam krewe celebrated my 65th birthday with a broadcast from the Sugar Factory which featured my performance with the Motor City Blues Scholars at the Detroit International Jazz Festival last month, featuring Dr. Dorothy Goodman on vocals, Jeff “Baby” Grand on guitar, Phil Hale on the keys, Tino Gross on drums, Showtime Johnny Evans on tenor saxophone and Vicki Alexander on the baritone sax. Smokey Johnson opens the show and Bob Dylan closes it.
