This is my last program from the Bohemian National Home in Detroit for this spring as I’m preparing to fly back to London this evening and then on to Amsterdam in a few more days, so I’m enjoying music from the Dizzy Gillespie Orchestra with Detroit’s own Kenny “Pancho” Hagood, R.L. Burnside, the Miles Davis Quintet, King Oliver’s Creole Jazz Band with Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, the Charles Mingus Sextet With Eric Dolphy, Eric Mingus & Catherine Sikora, Art Tatum, Wadada Leo Smith, John Sinclair & Hollow Bones recorded last week at the Tri-Tone Club in Philadelphia, and Sonny Clark. The Sinclair On The Air show is heard every Saturday night at midnight over Salto Wereld Radio-99.4 FM and Cable 104.6 as a service of Radio Free Amsterdam.
