4th anniversary
Our little gang of blues mental patients from America, England and Holland gathered at the 420 Café on the evening of American Thanksgiving for our annual concert in memory of my friend Bill Barth, the Memphis guitarist who lived in Holland for his last 30 years or so and who initiated this series of annual events with me around the turn of the 21st century. Bill’s gone now, but we meet to remember him every year at this time, and I took the opportunity to make this episode of the radio show with guests Aaron Cole, Merll Truesdale and Kenny Post, music by B.B. King, Eddie Burns, Jimmy Reed, Magic Sam, John Sinclair & Harmonica Shah, Yusef Lateef, and Fela Kuti, plus a “live” performance by Kenny Post and the original version of my anthem “It’s All Good” composed for the Cannabis Cup 1998 and recorded in New York City with Fluxedo Junction on arrangement & rhythm and Jeff Grand added in Detroit on slide guitar.

Hello may I use some of the info here in this record if I tie up furtively to you?
Hey there John,
I still regularly listen to old recordings of the Blues and Roots Show you did at WWOZ in 1999 and 2000, so it’s good to see you’re still out there somewhere!
So glad you’re doing well John. All the best to you!
