This week’s program took us to the fantastic Opal Fly’s Feel Good Lounge in downtown Fayetteville, Arkansas, for a concert with David Kimbrough, Opal Fly and her band, the Pope County Bootleggers, and after the show I sat Opal down with her husband and collaborator, Foxfire Fly, to mine some information about their crazy little trip out here in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas and play some music by Opal Fly, Hubert Sumlin, Thomas Houston Jones, John Sinclair & His Mississippi Blues Scholars with the late great Jim Dickinson on piano, plus the Arkansan musical giant Louis Jordan, David Kimbrough & the Juke Joint Boys, and Junior Kimbrough himself.
