I came to the 420 Café for our 4th of July radio show and my scheduled concert with Walter “Wolfman” Washington just as sick as a dog on a rainy day. We made the first 40 minutes and resewrved the rest for part of the concert, but when the Wolfman hadn’t appeared by 9:30 for the 9:00 pm show we quickly finished up the program with Andy Adkins & Clay Windham and I beat it back to the pad to nurse my vicious flu—but not before playing some terrific music by the Wolfman himself, Johnny Adams, Dr.John, Irma Thomas, John Sinclair & the Lexington Arts Ensemble “live’” in Los Angeles, and the Li’l Rascals Brass Band.
