My first show back in Amsterdam this fall & winter took place at the new Radio Free Amsterdam studios…
at Singel #10 near the intersection of Haarlemmerstraat and Nieuwendijk, inside and underneath the new Hempshopper in the heart of the new Green Light District. Jesse Vile from the Raindance Film Festival in London and his pal James Merchant dropped by to talk with Larry Hayden, Henk Botwinik and myself, and we heard music by Red Tyler, Champion Jack Dupree, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Irma Thomas, John Sinclair & His Blues Scholars with Jim Dickinson, the Beale Street Sheiks, the Odessa Harris band, B.B. King, and Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers.
