Radio Free Amsterdam Studios, Amsterdam -

I stopped in Amsterdam for just one day, Wednesday, September 5th, on my way from Detroit to Rome to begin…
my three weeks in Italy with Steve Gebhardt screening TWENTY TO LIFE with the Italian subtitles for audiences in Pitigliano, Genoa, Florence, Livorno, Pietrosante and Rome. Larry Hayden and Henk Botwinik took me to the brand-new Radio Free Amsterdam studio at Singel #10, underneath the Hempshopper #2 installation in the developing Green Light District near the Centraal Station. I had a great reunion with my producers and the two newest members of the RFA collective, Sidney of Hempshopper and Joeri of Self-Hemployed, and we had a ball getting high, talking like crazy and listening to music by Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, Chuck Berry, Irma Thomas, the Buddy Johnson Orchestra, John Sinclair & The Brakemen, B.B. King, Billlie Holiday, John Boutte and Nancy Wilson.
