The Sinclair On The Air show is broadcasting this weekend all the way from Fritz Kielsmeier’s Standing Ovation Studio in Chicago, U.S.A., featuring music from the great Chicago keyboardist, composer, bandleader and record producer called Sun Ra from a 3-CD collection (Interplanetary Melodies, Second Stop Is Jupiter, and Rocket Ship Rock) of obscure 45-single recordings and unreleased sessions made by Ra in the 1950s and ‘60s with characters like the Nu-Sounds, Yochannan, Don (Dino) Dean, Lacy Gibson, the Crystals, the Qualities, the Cosmic Rays, Juanita Rogers, Little Mack, and Ebah Akhtal. Sinclair On The Air is heard every Saturday night at midnight over Salto Wereld Radio-99.4 FM and Cable 104.6 as a service of Radio Free Amsterdam.
