I excerpted about half an hour of Harry’s program and mixed it with recordings produced and often written by Allen Toussaint, including Toussaint himself, Chris Kenner, Al Hirt, Jessie Hill, Ernie K-Doe, the Stokes, Lee Dorsey, the Meters and Dr. John, plus a fine reading of “Lipstick Traces” by Snooks Eaglin, Toussaint’s teen-age bandmate in a New Orleans band called the Flamingos.
