This broadcast of Sinclair On The Air is coming out of the Bohemian National Home in Detroit between the halves of a day-night doubleheader at Tiger Stadium, but it’ll be heard in Amsterdam when I’m in New Orleans this Saturday night so we’ve got another program of music from New Orleans by Professor Longhair, Charles Neville & Diversity, Snooks Eaglin, Brother Tyrone & the Mindbenders, Kermit Ruffins from his forthcoming release Happy Talk, Prince La-La, Bobby Marchan, Annie Laurie, James Booker, John Sinclair & His Blues Scholars, the Original Pin Stripe Brass Band, and the Wild Magnolias. Our second hour follows with a selection from the Radio Free Amsterdam Vintage Radio Vaults: an hour of the New Orleans Music Show with John Sinclair from WWOZ-FM in New Orleans in 1996. King, Magic Slim, Lillie Mae Kirkman, Lonnie Johnson, Buddy Moss, the Mississippi Sheiks, Barrelhouse Annie, Johnny Guitar Watson, Bobby “Blue” Bland, Jimmy Reed, Walter “Wolfman” Washington and an unidentified artist.
