This late-night one-on-one show from the front window of The Dolphins features Christine Powers, our guest from Asheville, NC who’s in town visiting her brother Bear, one of our favorite Americans. We talked about her yen to make radio shows of her own and listened to great music from Joe Weaver & the Blue Notes, Snooks Eaglin, Rockie Charles, Sun Ra & His Arkestra, John Sinclair & Luis Resto, Kenny “Pancho” Hagood with Mary Lou Williams, the Lyman Woodard Organization, a salute to Ike Turner & the Kings of Rhythm, Miles Davis & John Coltrane “live” at the Half Note in 1958, and my own recording of “Sparkplug” with Michael & The Cats to close out the show.
